Industry promotion gives priority to supporting the development of new businesses

The funding served Tra Vinh’s Industry Promotion and Development Consultancy Center, four projects of the application of advanced machinery and equipment in production with a total budget of VND1.15 billion.

The center has not only advised and designed product labels for four rural production establishments, verified and supervised electrical works, but also promoted public information activities.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade’s assessment, in the first six months of the year, industry promotion met the needs of beneficiaries, creating motivation for businesses and rural industrial establishments to develop, train quality human resources and provide jobs and stable incomes for rural workers.

In 2019, every VND invested in industry promotion in the Mekong Delta province attracted VND2.5 of investment capital from beneficiaries, creating VND39.17 of revenue for enterprises.

The priority for 2020 is to support businesses in improving machinery and equipment for better productivity and product quality, to tackle environmental pollution and energy saving, to create stable jobs for about 200-250 employees in the new rural communes and to connect with businesses in other localities in order to expand the output for the province’s rural industrial products.

In addition to the target of the 2020 plan, the Department of Industry and Trade has also formulated an orientation for industry promotion in 2021, with a focus on helping enterprises producing typical rural industrial products, startups and new enterprises. The department has also organized vocational training and supported the application of machinery and equipment in production.
